Frank was born at Holden, Logan County, on July 8, 1938 to the late Erastus and Nettie Brumfield Mullins. He was a retired foreman with Mountaineer Gas with 40 years of service. He was also a part-time Funeral Assistant for Stevens & Grass Funeral Home, Malden.
Frank loved his church, Point Lick Gospel Tabernacle, where he was active and served in many ways. In 1971 Frank and his late wife, Murl, and their good friend, Phil Bostick, started the singing group The Good Samaritans and they traveled all over the Kanawha Valley spreading the Good News in song. After the death of his wife, Frank continued to attend his church, started to play the bass guitar, and also sang bass in several of the church’s groups. His talents and his presence will be greatly missed by his family, his Church family, and all of his friends.
Along with his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Murl Horan Mullins; sister, June Cook; and brothers, Robert and Charles Mullins.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Edd (Kim) Mullins and Scott (Cathy) Mullins all of Campbells Creek; his special friend, Faye Rumbaugh of Winifred; sister, Darleen Page of Campbells Creek; brother, Clyde Mullins of Brook Park, OH; grandchildren, Travis (Natalie) Kozen, Rachel Sizemore, and Laden Mullins; three great-grandchildren, Cora, Silas, and Kate Kozen; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
A celebration of Frank’s life will be held at noon on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Point Lick Gospel Tabernacle with Pastors Larry Campbell and Fred Christian officiating. Burial will follow at New Antioch Cemetery, Red House.
A visitation with family and friends will be held Friday, April 20 from 6 to 8 PM at Point Lick Gospel Tabernacle.
