William “Bill” Howard Nash, 83 of Amherst, passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2024.
He was born on September 9, 1941 in Madison Heights, son of the late Henry Clay and Gertrude Roberts Nash. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Nash.
Bill was retired from BWX Technologies, Inc. and had served his country in the United States Navy. He was a founding member of the Monelison Rescue Squad, loved to build birdhouses and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Wendy M. Nash; a son, William H. Nash, Jr.; a step-daughter, Sherri Donovan; two sisters, Mary Pilkowski and Evelyn Condrey. He is also survived by a grandson, Dakota Guill and a great-granddaughter, Bristol Guill.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Monday, October 21, 2024 at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
Funeral services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Monelison Volunteer Rescue Squad, POB 56, Madison Heights, VA 24572.
