Wendy Gale Easley

Wendy Gale Easley, 57, of Amherst, passed away Friday, November 24, 2023, surrounded by love. Wendy is preceded in death by her parents, Wendell "Buck" Hermanson and Cora Mae Hermanson. She is survived by her husband, Ralph Easley; daughters, Nicole Kirby (Robert), Sarah Windley, and Gracie; sister, Cindy Hermanson, nieces, Brittany Bradley and Victoria Thomas; nephew, Chad Mason and amazing cousins/friends Lois Lucado, Cathi Brown and Donna Shumaker. She loved her life and family so much. She had such a big heart and was always there to lend a helping hand. She never met a stranger and would literally give you the shirt off of her back. She was a graduate of Sweet Briar College and prided herself on completing college as an adult and teaching at Amherst Middle School. Special thanks to Dr. Keng, Kim Conrad, and all the nurses that loved her at UVA. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to the American Red Cross or donating blood. The family with gather and receive friends on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Whitten Monelison Chapel. Wendy’s wish was to celebrate her amazing life with the ones she loved and ice cream (her favorite) – we hope you’ll join us.
