Virginia Governor Graham, 88, of Strongsville, OH and formerly of Madison Heights, VA, passed away, Tuesday, September 03, 2013, at the Thomas P. Perciak Family Hospice Center in Strongsville, OH. She was the wife of the late James Graham. Born May 18, 1925, in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late John Smith Governor and the late Milton Smith Governor.
Mrs. Graham was a former employee of General Electric and Governor’s Grocery and a member of Northminster Presbyterian Church. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Graham was preceded in death by one daughter, Linda French; and four siblings, John Governor, Jr., Ruby Elizabeth Governor, Lewis Governor and Mildred Wade.
Mrs. Graham is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Tomlin of Virginia Beach and Kathy Helal (Phil) of Strongsville, OH; one sister, Marie France (Bobby) of Madison Heights; eight grandchildren, Hope Davis, Wayne Tomlin, Jr., Mark Tomlin, Chris French, Lisa Wixted, Nicole Helal, Ashley Helal and Kaitlyn Helal; eleven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m., Saturday, September 7, 2013, at Northminster Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jeff Porter officiating. Interment will follow at Presbyterian Cemetery. The family will receive friends an hour before the funeral service at the church.
