She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was a friend to all. She was a hard worker until she retired in 1985.
She was the daughter of the late Smiley K. Davis and Weinell Clements Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband Reuben Elwood Campbell; her son James (Jimmy) Campbell; her daughter-in-law, Darlene; son David Lee Campbell; her son-in-law, Paul Riggins; her grandson Joseph (Jay); three great grandchildren Travis, Stephanie and Conner; three brothers Hannon Davis, Lyle (cherry) Davis and Smiley Davis, Jr.; and one sister Maxine.
She is survived by four children Anne Riggins, Nancy Campbell (Mario), Richard Campbell (Dottie) and Virginia Myzick (Jim); 13 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 24 great great grandchildren; one brother Frank Davis; one sister Hazel Smith and numerous nieces and nephews.
A service celebrating her life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at Whitten Monelison Chapel. Interment will follow in Amherst Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at the funeral home.
