Patsy Jean Shoulder Dinkins

Patsy Jean Shoulder Dinkins, born on August 24, 1951, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2024. Patsy was known for her warm, vibrant personality and her deep love for those around her. She had a gift for connecting with people, always ready to share a story, a laugh, or lend a listening ear. A bargain hunter at heart, she loved shopping, always on the lookout for the best deals and treasures. But above all, Patsy was a caregiver. She took care of everyone she loved, whether family, friends, or even strangers who crossed her path. Patsy thrived on staying busy and keeping up with everything happening around her. She loved to be in the know and never missed a chance to be involved. Family time was especially precious to her, and she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Willis Houston Shoulder and May Bell Sensabaugh Tolley, her beloved daughter, Charmin Dinkins, and her husband, Gordon Dinkins Sr. Her memory lives on in the hearts of her daughter, Tammy Dinkins, her son, Gordon Dinkins Jr., her sister, Paula Cross (Melvin), stepfather, Harry Tolley, and her granddaughter, Terra Broc. A floating visitation will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 9 am to 5 pm at Whitten Monelison Chapel in Madison Heights, Virginia. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024, at 1 PM at Briarwood Memorial Gardens in Amherst, Virginia, officiated by Pastor Kirk Farmer. Patsy will be dearly missed, but her legacy of love and care will remain with all who knew her. Whitten Monelison Chapel is assisting the family during this time.
