Lurlene Dodd Wallace

Lurlene Dodd Wallace, 86, of Madison Heights passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Jack Dexter Wallace. Born in Amherst County, May 31, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Ward M. Dodd and Nellie Brown Dodd. She was a longtime member of Randolph Memorial Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Joseph D. Wallace and his wife Laura and Kenneth L. Wallace and his wife Sandy all of Lynchburg; four grandchildren, Andrew Wallace, Jonathan Wallace, Stephanie Wallace and Brian Wallace; three step-grandchildren, Jenny Bryant, Lauren Ham and Jack Bottoms; three great grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren. A service celebrating her life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with the Rev. Derik Hamby officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 2, 2015 at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
