Louis Michael Cashara

Louis Michael Cashara, 94, of Elon, VA, passed away Friday, February 22, 2013 at his residence. He is survived by his devoted wife of almost seventy-three years, Adeline Amato Cashara.
Born June 16, 1918 in Glasco, NY, he was the son of the late Frank Cashara and was also preceded in death by his step-mother, Angelina Cashara; two brothers, Anthony Cashara and Michael Cashara and two sisters, Josephine Roudis and Catherine Raucci. Mr. Cashara was a self-employed painting contractor and along with his wife were the owners of The Rainbow Drive Inn in Colonial Heights, VA for twenty-three years. Mr. Cashara was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Cashara is survived by his daughter, Pat Compton and husband Ron of Elon; two sisters, Virginia Cashara of Glasco, NY and Mary Naccarato of Kingston, NY; one granddaughter, Gina Craun and husband Tony of Purcelleville, VA; two great-grandchildren, Charles (Chase) Craun and Coy Craun and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, March 16, 2013 Holy Cross Catholic Church with the Rev. Monsignor J. Kenneth Rush officiating.
Friends are invited to visit the family at the residence.
