Jewel Wright Lipscomb

Jewel Katherine Lipscomb was born in Amherst VA, on January 6, 1931 to William Durfey Wright and Mary C. Wright. She departed this world on November 17, 2021 to be reunited with her husband Billy and her daughter Jill. Jewel is survived by her five children, Sandra, (Daniel) Gallehugh; William (Pam) Lipscomb; Kenny (Matina) Lipscomb; W. Sue (Ralph) Denniston; Vickie (Dave) Denniston along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great, children. Jewel also had a host of other family members. Jewel spent most of her life in Amherst County. She met and married William (Billy) Lipscomb on August 5, 1948 and was married for 67 years. She worked as a seamstress before becoming a full time wife and mother to her six children. She loved camping, gardening, and canning.
