George Eldridge Creasy Jr.

George Eldridge Creasy, Jr., 87, of Madison Heights, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022 at his residence. He was the husband of the late Glenda Deel Creasy.

Born January 10, 1935 in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late George E. Creasy, Sr. and the late Mamie Pugh Creasy and was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Creasy; a brother, Richard Creasy, and a sister, Violet C. Ellington. Mr. Creasy was a retired supervisor with Lynchburg Foundry, Lower Basin and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Eastbrook Baptist Church.

Mr. Creasy is survived by one son, George E. Creasy, III and wife Jenny of Raleigh, NC; a daughter, Diane C. Bryant and husband Greg of Madison Heights; two sisters, Helen C. Whitehead of Madison Heights and Marie C. Moore of Lynchburg; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Fort Hill Memorial Park with Doug Roakes officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
