Edward Joseph Polaski Sr.

Edward Joseph Polaski, Sr., 91, of Monroe, died Friday, August 5, 2011, at the Virginia Baptist Hospital. Born in Hartford, CT, he was the son of the late John Polaski and the late Adele Backiel Polaski. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Edward J. Polaski, Jr. Edward was a retired proof reader for the Hartford Times and a member of the Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Wethersfield, CT. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He is survived by two sons, Robert S. Polaski and his wife, Debra, of Monroe and William P. Polaski and his wife, Edyta, of Gdynia, Poland; one sister, Ann Marie Iveson of AZ and six grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted in New Britain, CT at a later date.
