Dorine Gunter Graybill, 70, of Madison Heights passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017. She was the wife of the late Joseph Robert Graybill.
Born in Lynchburg, March 24, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Martin Gunter and Laura Brooks Gunter. She retired from the Central Virginia Training Center and was a member of Fairview Christian Church. She was also a Girl Scout leader for many years and served as Service Unit Chairman for a number of those years.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Sam Lawhorne, Charlie Gunter and Alvin Gunter and one sister, Margaret Winner.
She is survived by one daughter, Laura Graybill Padgett and her husband Chip and two sons, Joe M. Graybill and Adam Graybill all of Madison Heights; one brother, Ernest M. Gunter, Jr.; five grandchildren, Carter Graybill, Taylor Hurst, Ocean Graybill, Megan Conner and Ryleigh Graybill; one step-grandson, Ryon Padgett and his wife Brittney and two great grandchildren, Scarlett and Gabriel.
A service celebrating her life will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with the Rev. D. Jack Hamilton officiating. The family will receive friends following the service until 8 p.m. and at other times at the home of her daughter.
