Donald Kenneth "Kenny" Bray Sr.

Donald Kenneth “Kenny” Bray, Sr., 62, of Monroe, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2016 at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Bettie Jamerson Bray for thirty years. Born October 18, 1954 in Grandville, NC, he was the son of the late Crawford and Doris Jamerson Bray and was also preceded in death by a son, Rodney Pippin and a brother, James (Jimbo) Bray. He was employed by Moore & Giles, Inc. and was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. In addition to his wife, Mr. Bray is survived two sons, Donald Kenneth Bray, Jr. of Madison Heights and Jeremy Allen Bray and wife Jolene of Monroe; a sister, Betty King and husband Richard of Madison Heights; eight grandchildren, K.C., Landen, Kyle, Ethan, Grace, Aunaka, Jase, and Davis and two special nephews, Justin King and Matthew King. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Glynn Coleman officiating. Interment will follow at the Jamerson Family Cemetery in Dillwyn.
