Carrie Davis Turner, 99, of Lynchburg, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2012 at the Odd Fellows Home. She was the wife of the late Henry Wilson Turner.
Born March 10, 1913 in Fries, VA, she was the daughter of the late Willard Manassas Davis and Mary Riggs Davis. She was retired from the Central Virginia Training Center and had been a member of the Fairview Rebekah Lodge #52 for fifty-two years. She was a member of Fairview Christian Church.
Mrs. Turner is survived by her son, H. Wayne Turner and his wife Priscilla of Madison Heights; three grandchildren, Sherry Parker, Sarah Atkinson, and Paula Brosnan and five great-grandchildren, Caleb Parker, McKenzie Atkinson, Megan Brosnan, Timothy Brosnan, and Norah Brosnan.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 6, 2012 at Spring Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Curtis Wheeler officiating.
The family requests, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1022 Commerce Street, Lynchburg, VA, 24504
