This is Dorothy. I remember the many times Jerry drove our van when we weren’t on a trip with them. He was a very good driver and I always felt safe with him at the wheel. Don joined him in the front seat while I chatted with Pat and Gloria in the back.                            After the accident Don  needed help getting out of the car and with his walker jerry always seem to be there at the 12 mile road door at the church to help Don out   . He was a wonderful friend to Don and  I      He is missed

Uncle Jerry and I had an inside joke that he would always remember to say, even though I didn’t live close by and our visits were few and far between-anytime I was fortunate to see him or if we spoke on the phone, he’d be sure to end it saying our little joke. I’ll cherish that forever. Uncle Jerry was blessed to have had such a large, fun and special family and my heart is thinking Aunt Pat and the Schmidts. (One final “Mooooooooooooo” to you, Uncle Jerry.) xoxo

This was Uncle Jerry, my godfather, at one of my childhood birthday parties (Tramp Roast). Seated next to him is my grandmother, Rose Kus (his mother-in-law).

We will miss Jerry’s warmth, comfort, and smile. It was a true pleasure knowing him.
May God bring him the joy that he brought to us while he was here.

I told him often - Thanks for keeping St. Louise active and alive .  He was involved in many Ministries and he will certainly be missed by many. A favorite part of our Camp Dearborn vacation was having Jerry, Sue and Pat come up to play cards and eat.

His life set an example for all of us to finish in service to family, church, community and nation. We are better people having known him. Deepest sympathies.
