Diane Annette McGillivray, age 67, of Madison Heights, Michigan passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2023. She was born March 7, 1956 in Detroit to her parents the late Robert & the late Alice Dotson, and raised in Royal Oak. On June 21, 1975 she married Gary McGillivray at Greenfield Village in Dearborn.
Diane was active in her community serving as a Girl Scout leader, PTO President, Madison Heights Little League Baseball, Madison Heights Women's Club, Metropolitan Club, Madison Heights Youth Assistance and many others. She enjoyed baking , entertaining friends and family, and traveled to many places in the United States and Europe.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years Gary, children Andrew McGillivray, Amy (Josh) Schroder; granddaughter Matilda, and siblings Robert Dotson, Lynda Campbell, Gail Baldino and the late Mary Ann Dotson.
A memorial visitation for Diane will be held Monday, October 23, 2023 from 2 pm to 8 pm at Edward Swanson & Son Funeral Home, 30351 Dequindre Road, Madison Heights, MI 48071.
