Kathleen Dillingham

Born on October 7, 1942, in Port Chester, N.Y., Kackie was the beloved wife of the late Dennis George Dillingham, Sr.

Kackie was a generous and loving sister, spouse, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend. Family and friends always came first for Kackie, and for those closest to her, her generosity knew no bounds. Known for her sharp wit and penchant for mischief, Kackie never met a rule she didn’t try to bend and lived her life on her own terms. She especially delighted in watching and cheering on her ten grandchildren in all their endeavors, whether on the baseball diamond, the football field, the soccer field, the track, the water, or on the stage.

Kackie is survived by her five children and ten grandchildren: Terese Dillingham (Eric Nelson) of Lowell, Mass. (children: Forrest and Sydney Nelson); Mary (Michael) Connolly of Brunswick, Maine (children: Kevin and Brian Connolly); Carolyn (Mark) Gehringer of Niceville, Fla. (children: Courtney and Riley Gehringer); Lori (Steven) Noonan of Kingston, R.I. (child: Jack Noonan); and Dennis (Vanessa) Dillingham, Jr. of Evanston, Ill. (children: Margaret, Alice, and Jane Dillingham). She is also survived by two sisters, Patricia Stiso and Mary Alice Hannan; two brothers, Gene Doherty and Michael Doherty; and many nieces and nephews.

Kackie will be dearly missed, but her memory will live on in the acts of love, generosity, and kindness she performed for so many.

Calling hours will be held at Swan Funeral Home in Madison, Conn. on Tuesday, December 27, 2002, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Madison, Conn. on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at 11:00 am. Burial will take place on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Somerset Memorial Park in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.
