Roy Milo Carter, 63, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016. A celebration of his life will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue with the Rev. Jason Blankenship officiating. A private burial will be held in Parkhill Cemetery, Columbus. The family will meet friends from 2:00 p.m. to service time on Sunday at the funeral home. Mr. Carter, son of the late Milo and Mildred Ledford Carter, was born in Columbus. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Wayne Edward Carter and Donald Ray Carter. Mr. Carter was an independent contractor and commercial painter. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his children, Marlena McKenzie Sweeney (Stan) and Nelson McKenzie and his fiancee, Alex Chaney; his grandchildren, Coral and Adien Sweeney and Anzlie McKenzie; his siblings, Charles (Christine) Carter, Ruth (Greg) Dominy and Daniel Carter and several nieces and nephews.
