Robert "Buddy" Hawkins III

Robert "Buddy" Hawkins, 77, passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2021 after an extended illness. His life will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 16, at 11 o'clock, led by the Rev. Tim Long. Family will greet friends for the hour prior to services and burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Hawkins was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Robert David Hawkins, Jr. and Mary Carolyn Adams Hawkins. He graduated from Willingham High School and is a United States Navy Veteran, serving his country during the Vietnam War. Buddy was a charter member of the former Bloomfield UMC, a member of VFW Post 658, the Macon Exchange Club, and a current member of First Evangelical Church.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Barbara Jean Hawkins, Carol Hawkins Harris, and Linda Hawkins Wood; granddaughter, Morgan Elizabeth Leverett.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Sandra Hawkins; son, Robert "Rob" Hawkins; daughter, Susan (Will) Leverett; son, Michael (Jenna) Hawkins; grandchildren, Jacob Walker, Madison Leverett, Alexia Leverett, Owen Hawkins, Vivian Hawkins; several extended family and close friends.
