Robert Marshall Brooks, 80, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024. The family will greet friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Snow’s at Macon Memorial Park. A graveside service will follow the visitation and begin at 11:00 am at Macon Memorial Park cemetery with Pastor Paul Dziadul officiating.
Robert was born on December 30, 1943 in Macon, Georgia to the late Thelma and Chester Brooks. He was a mechanic for Truck & Trailer in Macon for over 30 years before retiring at the age of 72. When he was able, Robert loved being outdoors, spending much time deer hunting. When he wasn’t outside Robert could be found watching sports of all kinds including NASCAR, college football, NFL, and baseball. He was also a kind and caring soul and was passionate about donating to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Above all else, Robert loved his family. He was married to the love of his life, Glenda, for 60 years before her passing earlier this year. He dedicated his life to his family, providing unwavering support and love.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Brooks; son, Robert Timothy Brooks; and brother, Joel Brooks.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughters, Pam Shell (Donald) and April Prater (Tommy); brothers, Bobby, Charles, and Wayne Brooks; sister, Glenda Jackson, 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
