Mary Stokes Wood

MACON - Mary Stokes Wood passed away July 1, 2011. Funeral services will be held 2P.M. Sunday, July 3, 2011 in the chapel of Snow's Memorial Chapel Pio Nono Avenue. Interment will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Jim Lane will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Saturday evening at the funeral home. The family suggests that donations be made to The Ronald McDonald House, 1160 Forsyth Street, Macon, GA 31201.

Mrs. Wood was born in Macon to the late Ennis Grady Stokes and Lila Mae Goodin Stokes. She was co-owner and founder of Middle Georgia Freightliner-Isuzu Truck Dealership. Mrs. Wood was also a member of Avondale Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Billy J. (Jenelda) Wood of Lizella; daughter, Debra (Ralph Stevens) Cauble of Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren, Joseph Heath Wood of Macon, Travis Boyd Wood of Lizella, Kevin Stevens Cauble of Jacksonville, FL, Kyle Joseph Cauble of Jacksonville, FL; five great grandchildren.
