Mary P. McPeters

Mary Pirkle McPeters of Blue Ridge, GA, passed away on March 8, 2021. A Graveside Celebration Service will be held at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Michael Gentry officiating. Visitation with friends will follow the service. In an abundance of caution, the family kindly requests the wearing of masks. She was born January 27, 1935 in Griffin, GA to the late Journey and Lillie Mae Pirkle. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Nicholas McPeters and five siblings.

She is lovingly survived by a daughter and a son, Rhonda (Jim) Dorminy of Ellijay, GA and Greg McPeters of Charlotte, NC, three grandchildren; Brooke (Josh) Jared of Tulsa, OK, Whitney (Terry) Tingle of Birmingham, AL and David McPeters of Charlotte, NC, a brother, David Pirkle of North Carolina, nine great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mary lived in Macon, GA 64 years before moving to Blue Ridge, GA to be near her daughter and son-in-law. She loved to cook, play canasta, shop, and have a good time wherever she went. Besides her love for family, her strong faith and community of Christian friends were the gifts she so treasured. Her incredible joy and smile were her gifts to all who knew her.
