Margarett K. Dews, 85, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2015. A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 10, 2015 in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Paul Dziadul will officiate. The family will meet friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Dews, wife of the late LtCol. Henry LeRoy Dews, Jr., was born in Chesapeake, VA daughter of the late Merwyn H. Keller and Julia Elleanora Willis Keller. She was preceded in death by her son, James “Jimmy” R. Dews, Sr. Mrs. Dews was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Macon Service League, The Frivolous Ladies Club and a Master Bridge Player. She was a former Real Estate Agent and a devoted homemaker.
Survivors include those she loved most, her children, Donna Dews Shull, Henry “Hank” Dews, III (Davonna), Margarett “Peggy” Weil (Jason); her sister, Mercina Kennedy (Tom); her beloved grandchildren Julia Finegan (Kyle), Todd C. Shull (Erica), Emily Lane (Cam), Chelsey Dews, Jessica Dews, James “Rick” Dews, Jr., Patrick Dews, Nina E. Weil and Elizabeth Weil; five great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
