Mrs. McCrary was born to Jack and Martha Holloway in Macon, GA on April 17, 1947. She was the first of 6 children. She graduated with honors from Thomasville High School in Thomasville, GA in 1965. She graduated from the Macon Hospital nursing program in 1968 and obtained her Registered Professional Nursing certificate in 1969. She worked as a Registered Nurse at several different hospitals over her 40+ year career, eventually retiring from Houston Healthcare (known as Houston Medical Center at that time) in Warner Robins, GA in May 2012.
Linda loved dogs, and helped with Ratbone Rescues Rat Terrier Rescue for several years until her failing eyesight forced her to stop driving. She found her beloved Buddy and Beau with the rescue and enjoyed their companionship until it was time for them to cross the Rainbow Bridge. Linda was also the loving caregiver to her mother, Martha, for over 25 years until Martha’s passing in June 2021. Afterwards, she moved to Clermont, FL to be closer to her daughter and her only grandchild, eventually moving to an apartment in the Orchard Heights Retirement Community. She enjoyed living there very much and made many friends there.
Linda is survived by her only daughter, Bryna (Mark) Morgan and grandson, Evan, as well as siblings Margaret “Anne” Holloway, Patricia “Patty” (Steve) Marion, Michael “Mike” Holloway, Janice (Ron) Rich, Edith “Edie” (Jeff) Barker-Keezer, and several loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family suggests in lieu of flowers a donation can be made in Linda’s name to the National Kidney Foundation www.kidney.org.
