Larry Thomas Bass, Sr., 63, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2011.
Graveside services will be Sunday, October 23, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Ann Patton officiating. The family will greet friends on Saturday, October 22, 2011 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon GA 31210.
Mr. Bass was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Thomas Lee and Florence Nightengale Bass. He served in the Air Force Reserve from 1969- 1973 and had been a firefighter with the East Point Georgia Fire Department.
He is survived by his children, Larry T. Bass, of Suffolk, VA, Melinda (Marc) Schroeder of Warner Robins, Larry Thomas Bass, Jr. of Hawkinsville, GA, William George Bass of Statesboro, and Jennifer Yvette (Chris) Ealer of Warner Robins, two brothers, Roy Lee (Janet) Bass of Byron, and Charles Wayne (Pearl) Bass of Roberta, and several nieces and nephews.
