Katherine Carmical McGehee, age 94, of Perry, Georgia passed away on Monday, August 7, 2023. A visitation for Mrs. McGehee will be held Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Snow's Memorial Chapel, 1419 Bass Road, Macon, Georgia 31210. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 12:00 PM at White Oak Presbyterian Church, 2796 Gordon Road, Senoia, GA 30276. Rev. Robert H. Caviness will officiate. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. McGehee's memory may be made to First Baptist Church of Perry, 1105 Main Street, Perry, GA 31069.
Mrs. McGehee was born in Newnan, Georgia the daughter of the late Mary Kate Walker Carmical and Ira Caldwell Carmical. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, John Franklin McGehee and a grandson, Jonathan Van Eerten. Mrs. McGehee was a retired broker/realtor having worked for several real estate agencies on South Merritt Island, Florida and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Perry, Georgia.
Mrs. McGehee is survived by her children, Kerry (Teresa) McGehee, Ira (Lee) McGehee, Mary Helen (Peter) Van Eerten, and Ernie (Jana) McGehee; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Cannon and Mary Frances Andrews.
Snow's Memorial Chapel, Bass Road, has charge of arrangements.
