Joseph Alton Tucker

Joseph Alton (Tuck) Tucker passed away on May 19 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 22 at 11 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church with the Reverend Jimmy Woods officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Baptist Church cemetery with Masonic Rites. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 7495 Knoxville Road, Lizella or Al Sihah Shrine Transportation Fund, 222 Mecca Drive, Macon 31216.

Tuck was born in Macon to Marshall I. Tucker and Edna Irene Tidwell Tucker. He was a member of the Lizella Lodge #663 F&AM, Al Sihah Shrine Temple and the Central Georgia Masonic Memorial Association. Tuck was retired from Dixie Metal Company.

Survivors include his sons; Chad Tucker of Macon, Brent (Jonie) Tucker of Bonaire; siblings, Betty Newberry, Billy Tucker and Vera Yawn all of Lizella; and Felton Tucker of Eatonton; several nieces and nephews and cousins.
