John N. Wilkinson, 77, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 16, 2021. A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at First Evangelical Church. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. to service time at the church. Burial will be at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Long and Rev. Taylor Carter officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Evangelical Church, 3601 Fulton Mill Road, Macon GA 31206.
John was born in Macon, Georgia to the late John N. and Helen King Wilkinson. He was a graduate of Dudley Hughes High School and served his country in the United States Marine Corp., and Air Force National Guard. John was retired from Georgia Power after thirty-four years of service. He was a member of First Evangelical Church, Believing Crusaders Sunday School Class, Golden Heirs Seniors Group, and was an usher. John loved cutting grass and the outdoors, traveling to Pigeon Forge and Saint Simons and enjoyed his breakfast club friends. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Berkner Wilkinson of Lizella, children, Scott and Lynn of Byron, Stephanie and Charles of Kathleen, grandchild, Caden of Kathleen, sister, Clemmie Wilkinson of Macon, two nephews, Alan and Scott, and a great niece, Alyssa.
