John Landino, 95 passed away Friday, May 31, 2013 at the residence of his son. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with Father Michael Kavanaugh officiating and with Military Honors. The family will meet friends from 4 – 6 p.m., Sunday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue. They suggest that those who wish make memorial contributions to Wounded Warrior Project, 3343 Peachtree Road, NE, #M20, Atlanta, GA 30326.
Mr. Landino was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-eight years, Reba Davis Landino in November 2012. Born in New Haven, CT, he was the son of the late Michele and Maria Grazia Festa Landino. Mr. Landino was a U. S. Army Veteran and was retired from Robins Air Force Base. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
Survivors include the family he cherished, his daughter, Teresa L. (Ronny) Peacock of Lizella; his son, John Davis (Julia) Landino of Lizella; his grandsons, Brad (Sherrie) Stephens of Peachtree City and Mark (Jane) Stephens of Cumming; four great grandchildren, Hannah Stephens, Joshua Stephens, Hannah Cox and Zach Cox; several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of Morningside Assisted Living for their gracious care of Mr. Landino and to those who loved him.
