Joan Hudson Brown, 89, of Macon, Georgia passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024. The family will greet friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, Monday at Snow's at Macon Memorial Park. A celebration of her life will be held 11:00am, Tuesday, August 27, 2024, graveside at Macon Memorial Park.
Mrs. Brown was born June 9, 1935, in Macon to the late Douglas Hudson and Willie Elizabeth Smith Hudson. She attended Sardis Church in Jones County and was a real estate broker by trade. Mrs. Brown loved her horses, creating the American Walking Pony in 1969. She was preceded in death by her husband: William Jay Brown; brother: Charlie Hudson and a sister: Sandra Davidson.
Mrs. Brown is survived by her son: Jay Brown (Marcia); grandson: AJ Brown (Jamie); great-grandchildren: Mason Brown and McKenzie Brown; sister: Jenny King (Don) and several nephews and nieces.
