Jerry Perkins

Jerry Wesley Perkins, Sr., 77, passed away on January 9, 2022. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Tim Conort officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The family requests, those who attend to please wear red and black in honor of Mr. Perkins.

Mr. Perkins was born in Warner Robins to the late Oather Perkins and Jessie Mae Mullis. He attended Union Baptist Church in Griffin and retired from Bimbo Bakery. Mr. Perkins enjoyed golfing, fishing and loved spending time with his family. He was an avid Braves, Falcons, and Georgia Bulldogs fan. Mr. Perkins was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and brother. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Peggy Suber and Vivian Young.

Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years, Linda Adams Perkins; children, Tracie Brannan (Dwayne), Kristie Bruce (Charles) and Jerry “Jay” Wesley Perkins, Jr. (Lisa); five grandchildren, Haley B. Turner (Grant), Austin Brannan, Madison Orozco-Tello (Agustin), Taylor Horne and Shane E. Perkins; three great grandchildren, Leo, Finn and Milo; sister, Janice Mimbs; sister-in-laws, Robin Daniels (Daryl) and Helen Barfield (Harvey); six nieces; seven nephews; and a host of family and friends along with his poodle, Annabell Lee.
