Frances C. Sims, age 91, of Macon, GA, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2021. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Snow’s Memorial Chapel Pio Nono Avenue. at 11:00 am with Pastor Tim Long officiating. The family will greet friends on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm. Interment will be held immediately following the service at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Sims was born to the late James and Nannie Mae Maddox Cleveland in Jackson, GA. She graduated from Smith High School. She was a faithful member of First Evangelical Church for over 60 years where she was involved with The Golden Heirs & bereavement committee, she volunteered at the Georgia National Fair. She was the first female bus driver in Houston County, loved having a garden and planting flowers, quilting and sewing for her family and friends, fishing in Alaska many years and traveling, especially with her friend Dot Black. She retired from Robins AFB and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, but known to most as MawMaw. She loved to bake the Sock-It-To-Me cakes and share with everyone.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Elizabeth Clements, Sylvia Brooks and brother, Clifford Cleveland. Mrs. Sims is survived by her daughter, Debra Kaye Montford (David); sister, Shirley Boughton (Bill), Grandchildren: Davey (Krystal), Darby (Mandy), Dusty (Claudia) & Daren (Lana) Montford, Robbie (Christy) Sims, Sheena (Mark), Justin (Rachel); and great grandchildren, Kleveland, Kalli Rose, Marley, Lane, Danni, Cecilia, Dustan, Ren, Austin, Ashley & Blake, many nieces & nephews and many, many others she considered as family.
