Evelyn Rebecca Hamlin Lynch Chambless Molton

ROSWELL, GA – Evelyn Rebecca Hamlin Lynch Chambless Molton, 98, passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2010 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Alan Hamlin will officiate. The family will meet friends from 2 p.m. to service time on Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Molton, daughter of the late Osman Roland and Sally Oda Hardy Hamlin, was born in Lizella and had lived in this area until 2005 when she moved to Roswell. She was in commercial and residential real estate and was owner of Lynch’s Shopping Center and Mobile Home Park. Mrs. Molton was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church where she was a member of the Mevis Barron Sunday School Class and a member of the Young-n-Heart She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Macon Chapter No. 345 and Daughters of the Nile and also a member of Westside Homemakers Club.

Mrs. Molton was the widow of Soner Bennett Lynch, Andrew Louie Chambless and Lonnie Vinson Molton, the mother of the late Peggy Rebecca Lynch Rhodes Jackson and the sister of the late Milton Hamlin, Artis Hamlin, Vera Hamlin, Edward Wadsworth and Hilda Wadsworth.

An extraordinary woman who was devoted to her family, her love will live on in the hearts and memory of her family who survive her….her daughter and son-in-law, Virginia Bennell Lynch Hardy and John Basil Hardy, Jr.; her grandsons, Dana Soroyan Rhodes and his wife, Sheryl Clark Rhodes, John Basil Hardy III (Tripp) and his wife, Paige Ethington Hardy; her granddaughters, Dr. Leara Donna Rhodes, Heather Evelyn Hardy Perry and her husband, Dan Perry; her great grandsons, John Basil Hardy IV (Basil), Bennett Spalding Hardy and Levi Kyran Perry; her great granddaughters: Cassandra Rochelle Rhodes Edwards and her husband, Robbie Edwards, Rebecca Wynne Rhodes, Jessica Ben Rhodes-Knowlton Palumbo and her husband, Donato Palumbo, Leah Virginia Perry, Mary Tate Hardy and Ivy Ethington Hardy; her great-great granddaughters, Isabella Rochelle Edwards, Alexandria Rebecca Wynne Edwards and Ashling Rowan Edwards.
