Eva Elizabeth “Betty” Jones, 79, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021. A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, November 8, 2021 in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, 7070 Houston Road, Macon, GA 31206. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.
Betty was born in Lexington, SC to the late James Lewis Steele and Eva Lybrand. She retired from Sun Trust Bank and was of the Baptist faith. Betty (Mema) loved her family, animals and reading books. St. George Island is where she loved to spend time with her whole family and loved the beach. Betty (Mema) was an outgoing person who loved to help everyone she could. She was very inspirational, loving, kind, honest spirit that will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her! Betty (Mema) was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Raymond Jones.
Survivors include her children, Kenneth Jones, Deloris Hall and Steven Jones; seven grandchildren, Ramzi Lo, Tiffany Tavatia, Corie Vaughn, Mason Hall, Cody Murdock, Adam Jones and Stevie Ward; four great grandchildren; and extended family and friends.
