Macon, GA—Ervin Jackson “Jac” Bandy, 83, of Gray, Georgia, passed from this life to eternal life with the Lord Jesus Christ on July 25, 2014. He was born July 5, 1931 in Berwind, WV. He was a veteran of the US Army having served from March 27, 1952 to March 26, 1954. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin Dewey Bandy and Bessie Marie Hoops Bandy as well as his first wife, Iva Lou Bandy and his son, Jeffrey Bandy.
He is survived by his wife Jo Ann Bowker Bandy; daughter Jacqueline Bandy (Brian) Delia of Orlando, FL; one brother Dewey Kenneth Bandy of Mt.Vernon, OH; sister Carol Bandy (Albert) Kitts of Bastian, VA; one granddaughter Crystal (Giovanny)Gordillo; Mae and Ray Hitchcock also survive. Also surviving are three step-children, Joe(Tina) Bowker, Joy (Jimmy) Crockett, and Teri (Brian) VanDuyn. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 11 o’clock on Monday, July 28, in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. The Rev. Joe Bowker will officiate. A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 27, from 2 until 4 o’clock. Burial will be held in Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens, Ft. Myers, FL, on Wednesday, July 30, at 11 o’clock.
