Elizabeth "Nadine" Simpson, 88, passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018. Private graveside services will be held Wednesday in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Dr. Laudis H. “Rick” Lanford will officiate. The family may be contacted at the residence of Joy Story. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
Ms. Simpson was born in Cochran, Georgia the daughter of the late Nettie Adkins McNair and Walter Ard McNair and was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet Marie Simpson. She was formerly employed by Southern Bell and retired from Kiralfy Goldman’s. She was a member of Mulberry Street United Methodist Church and was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Ms. Simpson is survived by her daughters, Joy S. Story of Macon, Jane S. Johnston of Macon, and Jenny S. Henderson (Marty) of Melbourne, FL; son, Donald R. Simpson of Cochran; grandchildren, Shelly S. Marshall (Keith), Kyle W. Johnston (Christy), Blake C. Johnston (Austin), Jennifer Francis (Jamey), Jill McDonald (Steve), Chasity Riley (Robert), Donald Robert Simpson, II, and Heather D. Chafin (Chris); 17 great-grandchildren; siblings, J. R. McNair, Jerry McNair, Roy McNair, Nettie Mae Raley, and Shirley Naska; numerous nieces & nephews, and extended family, Dr. Kim Johnston and Emma Leigh Michael.
