Carol Baxter Headden, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 27, 2023. A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at First Evangelical Church. Burial will be private with Pastor Tim Long and Pastor Taylor Carter officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the church. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to First Evangelical Church, 3601 Fulton Mill Road, Macon GA 31206.
Carol was born in Macon, Georgia the daughter of Edna Duffell Cravey and Jack Cravey and the late Bill Baxter. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Payne and sister, Jean Parker. Carol was retired from Robins Air Force Base and was a member of First Evangelical Church. She loved to dance and play board games with her husband Ronnie. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt.
She is survived by beloved husband of sixty years, Ronnie Headden of Lizella, son, Steve (Pam) Headden of Villa Rica, daughter, Wendy Michelle Mosely of Lizella, grandchildren, Jon-Michael Payne, Dylan (Christina) Payne, Cole Cook, Mason (Linda) Headden, Hunter Headden and Madelyn Mosely, great grandchildren, Luke, Mia, Ellie and Olivia, sister, Susan (John) Seling, brothers, Barney Baxter, and Spence (Liling) Baxter and several nieces and nephews.
