Betty Jean Vinson Starke

MACON – Betty Jean Vinson Starke, 67, passed away Monday, October 31, 2011 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon, Thursday at New Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Middle Georgia Memory Gardens. The Rev. Richard Gammage, the Rev. Ike Hart and the Rev. Edward Dawson will officiate. The family will meet friends from 6 – 7 p.m., Wednesday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street.

Mrs. Starke was preceded in death by her son, Reginald Bryant Starke, Sr. and by her father, Roosevelt Vinson. She was a homemaker and was devoted to her family. Mrs. Starke was a member of New Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Napoleon Starke of Macon; her mother, Ardonia “Dora” B. Vinson of Macon; her sister, Gladys (Henry) Mitchell of Atlanta; two grandchildren, Reginald B. Starke, Jr. and Riana Starke; her niece, Sandra Harvey of Macon; two great nieces, Nicole Nash and Renae Harvey; several other nieces and nephews and her sister-in-law, Delores Ramsey of Hartwell.
