A private graveside service for Ben will be held Monday, June 10, 2024 at Riverside Cemetery, 66 Madison Street, Macon, Georgia. Following the private graveside service will be a reception/visitation from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Snow's Memorial Chapel, 1419 Bass Road, Macon, Georgia 31210. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ben's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
Ben was born in Macon, Georgia the son of the late Mae Ross Hudson and Benjamin Grover Hudson and was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Benjie Eidson Hudson and his sister, Christy Hudson Cline. He earned his bachelor degree and law degree from Mercer University where he served as president of Sigma Alpha Epsilon while an undergraduate. Ben was a United States Army veteran having served as Lieutenant in the JAG division and was a founding partner with Asa Marshall of Hudson and Marshall Auction Company.
Ben is survived by his children, Benjamin G. Hudson, III, Barry G. Hudson (Amy), Molly Hudson Watson (Bob), Blakely Mills Hudson (Simon); grandchildren, Walker Hudson, Malone Hudson, Stuart Watson, Leila Healey, Rocco Healey, and Maverick Healey; sisters, Kathy Dore and Toni Murphey.
Snow's Memorial Chapel, Bass Road, has charge of arrangements.
