William Joseph "Bill" Hauser

William (Bill) Hauser, 69, passed away August 15, 2015 with his daughter by his side. Bill was born in Rockford on September 14, 1945. Bill’s favorite past-time was fishing and he taught all his grandchildren to do such. He had a trailer and boat in Lake Mills, WI and you could find him there all summer long. He was an avid Chicago sports fan, especially the Bears. He was a master carpet layer with his brother and did many of the large commercial jobs in Rockford. Bill was predeceased by his parents Anton (Viola) Hauser; brother Tony Hauser; sister Charlotte Masterson and longtime partner Marie Loofboro. Bill is survived by son Chad (Louise) Hauser; daughter Tracy (Steve) Rice; grandchildren Justin (Erin) Hauser, Callie Hauser, Paul Hauser, Tyler Willis, Rabecca Hauser and Chase Willis; brothers Warren Hauser and Joe Hauser; sister Kathy (Jerry) Eldridge; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. with service to follow on Monday August 24, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home 8800 N. Alpine Road in Machesney Park, IL. Condolences may be sent to www.sunsetfhmemgardens.com

In lieu of flowers, a donation will be made in Bill’s name to CAST for Kids, an organization that helps special needs children learn how to fish.
