Melvin Joseph Lindenmier, 97, of Rockford died October 29, 2010 at Park Strathmoor Nursing Home. He was born October 17, 1913 in LaSalle, IL, the son of Frank and Elizabeth (Tucker) Lindenmier. He retired from Rockford Products. Survivors include his wife Connie, children, Kenneth (Jan) Lindenmier, Gerald (Debbie) Lindenmier, Patricia (Manuel) Chavez, Robert (Karen) Lindenmier, Beatrice (Thomas) Bauske, David (Kris) Kochopolous, Harold (Lucy) Kochopolous, Joe (Jeannie) Kochopolous, Debby (Randy) Moritz, Peter (Tanual) Kochopolous, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Elizabeth, son, Gilbert, step-daughter Becky Harmon and grandsons Kenny, Dewayne Lindenmier, and his siblings. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine, Machesney Park, IL 61115. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Monday, November 1, 2010 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
