Margaret J. Sherwood, 84, of Rockford, passed away December 25, 2014. Born January 21, 1930 in Rockford; she was the daughter of Joseph and Myrtle (Roop) White. She married William Sherwood on June 27, 1959 in Rockford.
She enjoyed playing bingo as often as she could, camping at Woodhaven for many years, and listening to country music.
Survivors include her sons, Gene (Debbie) and Dean Maxwell; grandchildren, Mark Maxwell, James (Anna) Maxwell, Jennifer (Greg) Nelson, and Michael Maxwell; great-grandchildren, Thomas Maxwell, Cristina Maxwell, Austin Nelson, and Brendan Maxwell; sister, Anna Lake; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, husband, brothers, Leonard, Arthur, Joseph, and Ronald White; sisters, Mary Whittimore, Loretta Benson, Maude Cunha, and Viola Loring.
