Gerald "Butch" Lindenmier Sr.

Gerald “Butch” Lindenmier Sr, 69, Rockford, passed away on July 22, 2013 at Wesley Willows. He was born on June 9, 1944 to Melvin and Elizabeth Lindenmier in Rockford. He married Debra Peck on September 7, 1971 and worked at Concentric for 18yrs until his retirement.

He loved the outdoors and NASCAR but especially loved his grandkids.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Debra; children, Gary (Beth) Lindenmier, Gerald Lindenmier Jr., and Tonya Williams; brothers Kenneth (Jan) Lindenmier and Robert (Karen) Lindenmier; sister, Patricia (Manuel) Chavez; brother in law, Leonard Peck; sisters in law, Bonnie Carroll, Judy Daniels and Becky Mae (Jeff) Colson. He is also survived by, ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren with one on the way.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Melvin and Elizabeth; stepmom, Connie; son, Duane Lindenmier and a brother, Gilbert Lindenmier.

Funeral service will be at 7pm, Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park. Reverend Ron Meyer will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 5pm to 7pm at the funeral home. Private committal will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
