Frank E. Petrie, 74, of Rockford, Il died in his home on Tuesday, June 7, 2016. Born October 15, 1941 in Sycamore, Il. to Clara Petrie. Frank worked in manufacturing all his life, for Amerock then Camcar. He lived in his Forest View Rd. home for over 38 years and was the hub of the neighborhood. His police scanner always on, Frank was a wealth of information of Rockford’s news. He greeted all his neighbors and everyone looked after him. He enjoyed going to Rochelle on Sundays to watch the trains. He would showcase his talents in photography, by capturing nature in all its details, especially birds. Occasionally he would indulge in his favorite treat, Mc Donalds double cheeseburger and fries.
Survived by cousin, Shirley Maness and her children; dear and caring friends and neighbors, especially Adam and Debra Birner.
