Anna M Lawson

Anna M. Lawson, 96 of Rockford, IL passed away on September 24, 2019. Anna was born to Raymond and Esther Peterson on September 1, 1923 in Rock City, IL. On October 19, 1940 Anna married the love of her life, George Lawson and they shared 6 children together. Anna will be remembered for her strong willed personality, and deep love and devotion for her family. Anna enjoyed the years she spent raising her children, tending her garden, and organizing family gatherings.

Anna is survived by her children; William Lawson, Diane Lindstrom, Robert (Kathy) Lawson, Gerald (Vickie) Lawson, Jeff (Belinda) Lawson, and Thomas (Susan) Lawson, she is also survived by 13 grand children, 19 great grand children, and 5 great-great grandchildren, as well as her sister in law Charlotte Peterson.

Anna is predeceased by her husband; George Lawson, her parents; Raymond and Esther Peterson, her brother; Robert Peterson, her daughter in law; Sally Lawson, as well as her great grandchild, Courtney Lindstrom.

A funeral service for Anna is scheduled for Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at 10AM at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd. Machesney Park, IL 61115. A visitation will be held from 9am until the time of service. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
