Aaron Andrews-Thistle, 70, of Rockford, IL passed away on November 21, 2022. She was born in Rockford, IL on May 27, 1952 to Wallace and Dorothy (Hogan) Round. Aaron graduated from Harlem High School. She married the love of her life, Timothy Thistle, on March 17, 1980 and together they had 2 wonderful children. Aaron was a Barber in her early years and then devoted her time taking care of her children. She enjoyed going to garage sales, flea markets, crafts, and canning vegetables from her garden. Aaron was an excellent cook, her family will miss her spaghetti, cabbage rolls, and zucchini cakes the most. She had a huge heart for animals. Aaron was an avid dog lover, she cared for many dogs over her lifetime and they were her constant companions. Aaron was loving, caring, and had a great sense of humor. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Aaron is survived by her husband of 42 years, Timothy; her children, Sarah (Tim Prince) Thistle and Justin (Kathrine Gill) Thistle; her brother, Jerry (Norma) Round; her niece, Stephanie (Mike) Buehl and family; and her nephew, Scott Round. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace and Dorothy.
Funeral Service for Aaron will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 28, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd., Machesney Park, IL 61115. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the start of service. Burial to follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
