Willow Deen Wier, 97, of Mabank went to be with Jesus on December 12, 2024. She was born in Dallas on January 27, 1927. Deen and her husband were married in 1949 and lived in Dallas until 1973 at which time they moved to Mabank. She worked at the Mabank public schools as a teaching assistant. Deen and husband RW were active members of the First Methodist Church in Mabank. They enjoyed traveling the United States with their camping group and seeing the sites. Before his death Deen and RW celebrated 65 years of marriage. Deen was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Ila Hawthorne, sister Euwana, brother Dwight, and husband RW. She is survived by daughter Linda Harris and son in law Tom and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the First Methodist Church in Mabank.
Visitation will be on Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 5 pm until 7 pm at Eubank Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank.
Celebration of Life Service will be on Friday, December 20, 2024 at 11:00 am at the First Methodist Church in Mabank, 501 S. Third Street.
Burial will be on Monday, December 23, 2024 at 11 am at Laurel Land Memorial Park on RL Thornton Frwy in Dallas.
