Steven Dewayne Mills, born August 28, 1953 in Terrell Texas. A man known for his strong work ethic, sense of humor, kindness, love for God, family, and animals, passed away on September 14, 2023. He was 70 years old.
Steve is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Diane Mills, and his loving children: Donnetta Allen, Tammy Oldfield, Jennifer Phillips, and son-in-law Jason Phillips. He was a doting papa to Lacey Allen, Chaz Allen, Cameron Allen, Amberly Oldfield, Ashton Oldfield, Tyler Cooper, Tristyn Mills, and Bryleigh Phillips.
He is also remembered by his mother, Shirley Ann Hemby, and his brother, David Mills. Steve was preceded in death by his father, John Mills, sister Saundra Hughes and his beloved granddaughter, Haley Oldfield.
Steve’s legacy will live on through the memories of those who knew him, as he leaves behind a family that cherishes his hard work, humor, kindness and deep love for God, family, and animals.
After the services the family would like to invite all those who would like to attend a reception at Paradise Acres the home of Steve and Diane Mills address 14560 CR 4016 Kemp, TX 75143.
A visitation for Steve will be held Sunday, September 17, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Eubank Cedar Creek, 601 South 3rd Street, Mabank, Texas 75147. A Funeral Service will occur Monday, September 18, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Community Life Church, 2918 SH 175, Kaufman, Texas 75142.
Steve will be laid to rest in Oakland Cemetery, 1000 West Moore Avenue, Terrell, Texas 75160.
Serving as pallbearers are Andrew Mills, John Spakes, Roger Dale Spakes, Kody Klusmeyer, Mikey Self and Jordan Hammer.
