He married Jeanette on July 5, 1975, in Denver, CO. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Amy Brannan and son-in-law Brad Brannan, daughter Alexis Rene Tucker, and son-in-law Bryan Tucker. He has six grandchildren (Crystal Moody and her husband Trent, Tyler Shepherd and her husband Andrew, Alex Brannan, Joel Erikson, Tristan Mendenhall, and Jaxon Mendenhall). He has four great-grandchildren (Sophia and Avery Shepherd and Payslee and Charlie Moody). He has one sister, Debbie Barton, and one brother, Robert Erikson. Steve served in the Army during Vietnam, but as the sole surviving son of a WWII veteran, Steve chose to become a recruiter. Steve supported his family for over 50 years as a master electrician. During his free time, Steve LOVED bowling. From drilling balls for over 20 years to bowling in leagues. He used to own the pro-shop at Tip Top Lanes in Seven Points and ran the pro-shop at Corsicana Park Lanes and made many, many friends through bowling.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Tilmont Slack, who he was very close to and provided Steve with his first exposure to Jesus Christ, his mother, Ruth Erikson, and father, Herbert Calvin Erikson.
