Robert Glenn Cardenas, age 77 of Eustace, Texas passed away on September 8, 2024. He was born on March 2, 1947, in Beaumont, TX. He was preceded in death by his father, Rudy G. Cardenas and his mother, Alice A. Johnson. He leaves behind his wife of 36 years, Sabrina Ann (Trahan) Cardenas and four children Tara Benbow (Kenneth) of Dripping Springs, Timi LaFleur (Robby) of Port Neches, Robert Chaz Cardenas of San Antonio and Adan Glenn Cardenas of Eustace as well as his grandson, Nicholas Guidry of Port Neches.
His family was his pride and joy, and he never missed an opportunity to make sure it was known to everyone who would listen. He gave unconditional love to the family and anyone who graced his doorway. He always made sure to let his family know how much they were loved and how proud he was of them. We will miss his quick wit (he had a smart comment for everything) and his stories, even those we heard more than once. He was a Texas History buff (being born on Texas Independence Day) and loved enlightening anyone within earshot.
He could fix anything and everything and always offered the very best advice. He was a person you could count on and didn’t hesitate to help anyone in need.
Though we mourn his loss, we also celebrate the incredible life he lived. The family wants everyone to know that he was the best husband and father anyone could even ask for.
He was loved, will be missed, and we will continue to make him proud.
Visitation and Rosary will be held Friday, Sept. 13, 2024, at Eubanks Cedar Creek Funeral Home in Mabank, TX from 11:00 to 1:30. Following visitation, we will move to St. Jude’s Catholic Church in Gun Barrel City for the Requiem Mass beginning at 2:00 with a reception following.
